Shipping Policies

The Bike Peddler Store offers free UPS or USPS ground shipping on orders of $250 and more.  Some items in their installed state are relatively light in weight but in their shipping container/packaging are considered large in size (oversized) by the carriers and may be charged an oversized surcharge ($25)due to that size, this is commonly true with bicycle wheels.  This surcharge will be reflected at check out prior to payment.

We attempt to ship the most efficient method at our discretion using the following carriers: UPS, USPS, and FedEx.

For local (DFW Metro-plex) customers we will make every attempt for local pick-up or try and establish an amicable meeting location and time for package exchange.

The Bike Peddler Store will refund actual shipping costs from UPS label or postage on damaged merchandise or mistakes made by us.  Returns must have a return authorization number (RAN) clearly marked on the outside of the package or the item will be refused.  Return authorization numbers can be obtained by e-mailing our customer service department or by calling 1-817-726-7429.

Please call immediately regarding errors or mistakes on your order.  We need to hear about problems within seven days of order receipt.

Our Mistake
You gave us a correct part number and we made a mistake:
• If an item is missing, make sure and recheck your order before calling.  Inspect packing materials carefully for smaller items.  It is easy for small items to get wrapped up in the packing material.
• Let us know which item(s) you received incorrectly or missing, we will review this situation with you to fully understand the items missing or shipped in error.
• We will find the simplest and fastest way to resolve our mistake. We will reimburse return ground freight on any incorrect items when the fault is The Bike Peddler Store.  We will resolve this as quickly and simply as possible.

Your Mistake
You placed your order online, called in your order (call in orders will be repeated to your for accuracy) or if you submitted by e-mail an incorrect part number(s):
• Let us know the Order number and The Bike Peddler Store part number(s) in question.
• There is a 45% restocking fee for returned merchandise.
• The Bike Peddler Store will issue to you a RAN (Return Authorization Number) number.  Return the product pre-paid shipping using your choice of carrier; we recommend a carrier that offers tracking and insurance (price paid) for your own protection. 
• Parts must be received by The Bike Peddler Store in new, unused condition and in its original packaging.  No return accepted on parts that have been installed and used.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT use display boxes as shipping cartons, please package in another container adequately packed to endure shipping and handling by the freight carriers.

Backorder Policy

We do our best to keep our web site current on available items, but at times we discover our records are inaccurate. 
We will contact you immediately by e-mail if an item is found to be out of stock and try to provide an estimate of product availability so you the consumer can decide to wait or cancel your order.  In accordance with our billing policy, your credit card will NOT be charged until your item/s are actually pulled, packaged and staged for shipping.

Damaged Goods Policy

All items that are shipped from The Bike Peddler Store are in new unused condition. If a package is delivered to you with damaged components while in transit, you have two options; first is refusing receipt of damaged package; secondly to arrange the return of items to The Bike Peddler Store. If you do receive a damaged package, please call The Bike Peddler Store Customer Service immediately at (817)726-7429. We will contact the Delivery Company and file a damage claim. The Bike Peddler Store will notify you of how to proceed in the return of the damaged package. Do not install or use the damaged item or take the item for a ride, preferably keep intact in the damaged carton for inspection by the shipping company, by saving all boxes and packing material for inspection by the shipping provider. Once a damage claim is made and accepted by the carrier, a claim number is generated; at that time The Bike Peddler Store will work on re-processing your order for the lost or damaged items.
If you refuse delivery because of a damaged package, please call us when you need assistance in resolving a damage claim and providing any tracking numbers issued by the carrier. We want this to be as painless as possible.
Unfortunately, these situations do happen and we will do all within our power and ability in resolving damage claims.

For each visitor to our web site, our server automatically recognizes and registers information regarding the domain, IP address and/or e-mail address of that visitor.
